In line with our established culture of biannual colloquium, another events have been scheduled for Early April, 2017. This year is a two-day programme: 4th -5th April, 2017.

 4th April:

Creative writing workshop organized for our budding writers. The essence of this workshop is to maintain our vision of creating a foremost forum for creative writing, reading, training, mentoring, discourse and study that will attract best brains in Africa and foreign literature for prodigious engagement.

Resource Person: Prof.Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo

Prof. Adimora-Ezeigbo is an international acclaimed writer. She has many novels, poetry,and children’s books to her credit. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to tap from her wealth of knowledge.

On Previous Colloquiums

In our bi-annual series of colloquium erudite scholars with the best of minds are invited to speak on topical issues. In 2012, Prof Ernest Emenyonu of University of Michigan-Flint, USA gave a lecture on “African Literature: A Cup Half Full or Half Empty.” In 2014, Rev. Fr. Prof. Obi Oguejiofor gave another thought provoking lecture on the topic, “Power, Gender Relations, Character and Nation Building.” In 2015, Prof. Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo also gave anther powerful lecture that can best be described as exposing on the topic “Citizenship, Human Right, Women Empowerment and Peace Education.”

We are getting set to listen to another lecture by another world class scholar, Prof. Obododimma Oha, in 2017. You cannot afford to miss this great opportunity. Keep a date with us.
